Requirements of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code form the international structure, by means of which ships and port facilities can interact with the purpose of discovery and prevention of acts threatening the safety in the sea transport sector.

This course is developed by Jørn Tranvåg (ph.D), has been evaluated by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate and meets all mandatory requirements. Jørn is 59 years old and has experience from ship operation both offshore (chief engineer), and onshore. He has worked more than 10 years as a Ph.D cand. / assistant professor at a university-college, before he started his own company. Jørn has a Ph.D in safety management.
The e-learning course is presented and delivered by ASK Safety and Tranvåg Maritime AS.
Tranvåg Maritime AS (ISO 9001:2015 Certified) is approved by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate (Sjøfartsdirektoratet) to issue “Seafarers with designated Security Duties” (STCW table A- VI/6-2) certificate on their behalf.

Certificate will be issued after all course requirements has been met. The certificate should be kept onboard and available for inspection by maritime authority
